Special  Olympics Wyoming is a not-for-profit501(c)(3) organization, providing year-round opportunities for sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Currently over 1,100 athletes and thousands of  volunteers, family members and friends take part in the activities of Special Olympics Wyoming.


We train for 3 seasons. In the fall, we train for bowling, cycling, and soccer. During the winter season, we train for snowshoeing and downhill skiing. During Summer games we train for swimming, basketball and track.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS AREA GAMES
Fall 2016

Area V Games were held in Casper on Saturday, September 24, 2016 for cycling and bowling.  Cycling started at 9:00 a.m. in the rain and cold, but the athletes did an awesome job competing.  Bowling was held at Sunrise Lanes at 1:00 p.m. following pizza for lunch.  The bowlers have worked very hard practicing for this competition. (Pictures are attached below.)
